VLC Not Playing My IPTV Stream

VLC Not Playing My IPTV Stream

If VLC is not playing your IP Streams, then please check the following

 

 

1. Is your PC in the same network range as your Stream? 

Encoder IP:192.168.1.168

PC IP: 192.168.1.100

2. Are you directly connected to the IP port of the Streaming Encoder?

 

3. Does VLC stay a black screen but does not play the stream?

Please follow the pictures below to ensure your firewall is allowing VLC to play private streams.

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Does VLC give you the following error message when you try playing the stream?

 

Check your syntax of the stream and ensure you typed it correctly

Ensure you are connected to the encoder and that your PC's IP is static such as 192.168.1.100

Check to see if you can log into your encoder

 

5. If all else fails, try a different PC with VLC using the same Firewall guide above.
