Samsung has disable Smart IPTV App from all Samsung App stores.
You may sideload the application via USB. Please research how to do so for your Samsung model.
Our first step is to enable the HLS format on your Encoder.
Click ENABLE from the dropdown tab under the Mainstream or Substream depending on your requirements.
Step two involves creating the Playlist file for Smart IPTV App.
The playlist file uses a specific syntax for the application to understand what is the name of the program, which group it belongs too, as well as the IP address to find the program. As mentioned earlier, we recommend using Notepad ++. It's just like windows notepad but keeps the formatting in a more organized way.
This is the syntax you will need to enter. Copy it into NotePad++.
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0, CHANNEL NAME
http://DEVICE IP ADDRESS/0.m3u8
We can modify the example format above to create our playlist file containing all the programs. Below is an example
To find the URL from our device we can navigate back to the encoder status page.
To simply add another channel, type the following beneath the current channel. You will need to CHANGE THE CHANNEL NAME & IP ADDRESS. Example is below
#EXTINF:0. CHANNEL 2 NAME HERE
http://DEVICEIP/0.m3u8
The full structure will look like this:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0, CHANNEL 1
http://DEVICE IP ADDRESS/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0, CHANNEL 2
http://DEVICE IP ADDRESS/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0, CHANNEL 3
http://DEVICE IP ADDRESS/0.m3u8
(This is just an example. Yours may differ)
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,HD1
http://192.168.1.168/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0,HD2
http://192.168.1.169/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0,HD3
http://192.168.1.170/0.m3u8
To save the playlist file in Notepad++ go to File > Save as
A new window will appear. From the dropdown of “Save as type:” Select All types
Proceed to name the File as you wish.
The filename must be Filename.m3u
The .m3u tells the system to save it as a Playlist file.
The last and final step is setting up the application for our newly created playlist file.
This App works by using your mac address from the device you currently have the application installed on to send the Channel list to the device.
To find the mac address of your device, go into the menu options of the application. Depending on the device you are using with the application, the menu option might be different.
Go to https://siptv.app/mylist/ in either Chrome, Firefox, Edge(IE), or Safari.
The application comes with preinstalled example channels. We recommend each time before uploading a new playlist file, is to delete the old playlist first. This ensures we start with a fresh install for the playlist.
Enter your TVs MAC address that the Smart IPTV app provides to you in the delete playlist section. Press delete to clear the playlist channels from the App. Proceed to the next step of adding your playlist file.
Upload your playlist file by selecting CHOOSE FILE.
Enter the MAC address of the device you wish to send the playlist file.
Click SEND.
AFTER uploading your playlist, RESTART the SMART IPTV APP. The restart function can be found in the same location where the MAC address was found.
AFTER you restart the SMART IPTV app, your playlist should now be able or already be automatically playing.
Test all the channels and repeat the Upload steps for all your Devices running this application.
You can try to use RTMP format from the encoder for lower latency video.
Simply enable RTMP (NOT RTMP PUSH) instead.
Note: RTMP does not support the H.265 video codec. Please set your video codec to h.264 or use the substream options in order to keep your Mainstream h.265 and a substream to provide a h.264 RTMP.
In your Playlist file, you created earlier change the URL from the HLS over to the RTMP
Before:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,HD1
http://192.168.1.168/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0,HD2
http://192.168.1.169/0.m3u8
#EXTINF:0,HD3
http://192.168.1.170/0.m3u8
After with RTMP:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,HD1
rtmp://192.168.1.168/live/1
#EXTINF:0,HD2
rtmp://192.168.1.169/live/1
#EXTINF:0,HD3
rtmp://192.168.1.170/live/1
Save the changes, delete the old playlist, and upload the new playlist file again.
